History in the Making

I started this blog to discuss business and economy from the average investor’s point of view. However, we are living through some turbulent times. We are witnessing a decline of a World Power which has ruled for pretty much since the end of World War II. It is quite difficult to speak about business opportunities when the American Government pretty much decided to have a geopolitical and economic war with its own allies. I never thought of seeing that in my lifetime. As a Canadian, the United States were always our friendly neighbor, until recently. As a result, Canadian patriotism has never been this high. When the Quebec Separatists start being patriotic for Canada, we know something has shifted and changed. In that respect, I would thank President Trump and his minions. This is another first in my lifetime. I guess I will be witnessing several firsts in my lifetime for quite the unforeseeable future with this administration.

How did we get here? Why all this hostility not only towards Canada, but practically all the democracies and allies of the United States? Well, this has been brewing for quite some time. In the United States, that society is so divided that it is amazing that a civil war did not break out years ago. I guess what we are seeing is part of that. The current administration is attempting to show an iron fist towards a lot of irritants whether true of not. For example, the perception of illegal aliens in the US, I believe, is not what the administration says publicly. Yes, there will be always those who will try to play the system, but normally when you immigrate from another country it is for a better life and those migrants will do everything in their power to follow the rules. They are normally hard workers, just look at who harvests all the crops. I doubt you will see any white males doing that. From the outside, it looks like a huge smoke screen to divert the attention to what the true problem is. I believe there are two major issues in the US: 1) the Federal Debt; and 2) the use of the American Dollar as the world reserve currency is put into question. The two are closely related, but you never hear much about this talk about this in the main media or even on podcasts. It is almost taboo and when people bring it up, they shy away to say that it is all under control. The US debt is out of control and the current budget cuts will be just a drop in the sea. If the administration would be serious about this, they would cut in the Defense Budget. What do they need military bases across the world? World War II has been over for 80 years. It is hard to be credible when on one hand you slash jobs and close Federal Departments in the name of fraud and efficiency, but yet the President goes to Florida practically every weekend and costs the taxpayers on average $13 million each time. Some will say he does not take a salary, true, but I think these trips are worth a little more than his presidential salary.
What surprises me from the US citizens and the Democrats is that no one is questioning the results of the 2024 elections. I know that the Democrats do not want to go down that road, but I think they would have a case. If the Republicans did that for 4 years leading into the 2024 elections, don’t you find it strange that the polls prior to the election had the elections even, but Trump won everything from the popular vote to the house and congress. And yet no one, in public, even attempted to contest the results. I would at the very least expect to hear a questioning about it, but nada. Nothing. It could be a possibility that Trump truly won, but if you look at his history and how he is acting now, maybe he did get a little help from this dictator friends. This is just an observation from afar.
Another question of why trying to expand the USA with annexing Canada and Greenland? Why now? I think the US would get more cooperation with alliances vs trying to annex them the US when it comes to critical minerals. Firstly, it is part of expansion of the Project 2025. Despite Trump at numerous occasions denying that this is his blueprint of what he is doing now, he seems to be closely following it. Then we have the question of Elon Musk. Why did he buy his way into the Republican Party and access to the President? Maybe Americans do not see it that why, but outsiders definitely do. It turns out that Joshua Halderman, Elon Musk’s grandfather, was raised in Saskatchewan,Canada, and became a tech-utopian during the 1930s, politician and was a supporter of the apartheid regime. Sound familiar? This could explain some of the views that Elon Musk showed supporting right-wing movements pretty much everywhere in the world. What better platform to achieve this than having access to the power and authority of the President of the United States and more astonishing, not even being an elected official.
If you look at the entire picture, this could explain what is happening in the US.

History in the Making
I never seen an Administration take up so much of the news. You would think, nothing is happening besides what the US is either doing on their own turf (all the controversial slashing of Federal Programs and Departments) or to their former allies. We are experiencing the last stance on the American Dominance. The US is already not that liked throughout the world. Many people around the world perceive the Americans as arrogant, classless and repulsive. That perception has just been highlighted with the American President and his minions. This is the first time in recent history we will see a change of Global Dominance. I can not say who will take it. Once the Americans lose their status of having the Global reserve, they will steeply decline. They will not be able to meet their debt payments and will default. I truly believe I will see this in my lifetime.
This is not only good for the US, but most countries are also in the same boat. What we are seeing now is the start of a huge reboot of the World trade and Economies or in other words, a New World Order. Canada under the Liberal Party, skyrocketed the national debt. Let hope we learn from our past mistakes so that we can avoid them in the future.
On those cheerful notes, keep on smiling until next time !!!!
